i  made this BFG art with black paper and white paper  and glue it on.I like it because  

the BFG is very big and I have watch the Movie  with my Mum. My BFG is in Auckland at the clock tower.

My Speech

I think Lawrence area school should have school pets because they teach us to be kind and gentle. I think that the best pet for room 4 would be a kitten because they are little and they are easy to keep. They are a good pet for at school.

Let me tell you all of the reasons why a kitten would make such a great classroom pet. Kittens are a good pet because they sleep a lot do they would not get in the way. . They are cute and cuddly and they like to be picked up by children. .Kittens are clean and they don’t leave fur on the classroom floor.

Having a class pet would teach children how to be responsible for a pet.  Children would learn how to look after an animal and not treat it like a toy. They would learn how to feed it and to clean up it’s mess. Children would learn how to treat an animal nicely. Some children don’t have pets at home so they need to know to be kind and gentle when they pick up a pet.

Some children might not have a pet at home so it would be nice if they could have one at school. It would teach the children how to share a pet. Children would get to play with the cat and pat it. We could read our reading books to the cat in our library corner while it was sleeping.  Sometimes a child might get to take the pet home for the holidays and look after it.

Animals are soft and fluffy. They would be cool to have at school and we would learn how to take proper care of it. So I think that is why Lawrence area school should have a school pet.

• to learn my 345 and 6 times tables off by heat
• to get fitter faster and further on cross country training
• to particpate really well in our class dance night
